Guess the name of the specially commissioned Burra Bear! Wendy Inkster has made a special Burra Bear especially for The Tall Ships Races 2011 - Lerwick. The design and material was created by local textile artist Hilary Seatter. |

There are lots of surprises in store as Winnie explores what's inside her great big suitcase. Fun filled short play from local writer Jacqui Clark starring Shetland actress Catriona Thomson. When a Tall Ship arrives she flees the nest leaving poor old Bertie to try and lay an egg! Hilarious action packed puppet show written and directed by John Haswell and starring Bertie & Patience.Target audience – Family |

The Family Entertainment Programme has been co-ordinated and managed by Jacqui Clark on behalf of The Tall Ships Races 2011 - Lerwick. The programme has been organised in partnership with Shetland Islands Council Youth Services.
The programme co-ordinator is grateful to the Shetland Arts Fund, funded by the Shetland Charitable Trust, for financial support towards the artistic elements of the Family Entertainment Programme.
